More Traditional Dress Handphone Charms

Introducing the Kebaya Selangor as the latest addition to my traditional dress handphone charm. These were ordered by the Selangor Museum and I was specifically asked to make a Kebaya Selangor, not the Kebaya Labuh or the Kebaya Nyonya that I've done before.

I have enjoyed cutting, matching and sewing each and every one of these cute miniature Kebaya Selangor.

It's been quite a while since my last post. Too busy crafting and too busy being lazy to even update blog. Anyway, been doing many things during the hiatus. Will update soon (if laziness with a capital L does not overcome me). For now, take a look at the traditional dress handphone charms that I've done for Diana.

Malay Traditional Dress

Wow! It's been more than a month since my last update. Time really flies....
Besides not having any new ideas, I was kinda busy with daily chores and completing orders..

Anyway, last 2 weeks, I was wondering what to give to a collegue from Japan. I wanted to give her something handmade and very Malaysian but couldn't think of anything. The night before her arrival, I suddenly got this idea and this is the outcome..

Don't you think this is just perfect to give as a Malaysian momento to our foreign friends? Oh, my Japanese friend was delighted to receive this souvenier. ;-)

And since then, I have came up with other designs for the Baju Kurung Johor..

Orders from Moli

This is the order from a new found friend Moli from Sarawak.

Moli, the package is already on the way to you. I seriously hope you'll like the Domokun.....huhuhuhuhu!!

Domokun

I had no idea what this Domokun is but it's so popular kids are crazy about it. I've been nagged for quite some time by my kids to make Domokun keychain and handphone charm but I kept on ignoring them. Why? Because I don't know what it is... a monster or what? Why kids love it I can't fathom. I'm still from the old school...I love Disney characters better.

Anyway, you have to go with the flow. A new found friend, Moli requested me to make Domokun keychain and handphone charm for her. That's when I sit down and tried to make them (much to the delight of my kids). Of course my kids now have a pair of keychain and handphone charm each (the prototypes that I'm not satisfied of).

Finally, the Domokuns that I made. Howzat? Grrrrrrrr.....

Kak Long's Order

Phewww! Finally I managed to complete K.Long's order even though the lead time give was very short! I had to complete 40 pcs handphone charms as doorgifts for her engagement ceremony tomorrow.

To K.Long, here's wishing you "Happy Engagement". Jangan tunggu lama2 sangat...tak baik. Lagi cepat nikah lagi bagus!
