Whimsical Tabby Cat

I am not really into cats, I mean live cats. My other half and my brood (with the exception of the eldest) love cats. I like to see cats and I'm amused with their antics but touch and hug them? No!

Since I like cats (albeit don't like to touch them), I like to collect cat figurines whenever I found them and display them at my office.

I also tried my hands to do felt cats and make it colorful and whimsical.

United Colors of Domokuns

I am tired of making brown color Domos though I have many orders for this creature from my daughter's friends.  So I tried to make them in various colors so that I can go on to fulfill the orders. Strange enough, I was so excited with the new colors that I made more Domos than ordered. Hehehe!

Custom Made Orders

I have never made a handphone case before. Owh, okay, I did once but it was for myself and the result was not satisfying. That's why I never made anymore handphone case until my friend Moli requested me to do it for her daughter. I declined at first..wasn't sure how to do it and had no confidence at all. But when her daughter personally texted me, I finally caved in (after much persuasion).;-)

Salam...it's been a long time since my last entry. The last 2 weeks of Ramadhan was chaotic....last minute shopping for my kids and trying to fulfill customers' orders on top of the heavy workload at the office.;-) Anyway, hope it's still not too late to wish everyone Selamat HariRaya Aidil Fitri!

Ever watched "Legend of the Guardians : The Owls Of Ga'Hoole"? I like that movie and the owls are sooooo cute and adorable...and that inspired me to make these owls.....

Cross Stitch on Felt

This is my first attempt to do cross stitch on felt. Ever since I started doing felt craft, I hardly do any cross stitching which is actually my first love. No, I haven't forgotten it...I simply do not have the time...*sigh!*
Anyway, when my son's 14 year old classmate requested me to make a pink heart keychain with lots of letterings, I simply had to take the opportunity to cross stitched it instead of sticking felt/foam letterings.

For the front view, she requested to put the letters i, l, y, s. f, d, m. Don't ask me what the letters stand for...I guess it's I Love You So F..D...Much? I decided to use pastel colors felt and freehand stitching for the letters.

For the rear, she asked to put the letters SN,UK. This is when I decided to cross stitched the letters. Here's how it looks like. It's quite tricky because the letters consist of full stitch, half stitch and back stitch.

My son's friend is delighted with the result and to me that's the most important thing! ;-)

Domokun

I had no idea what this Domokun is but it's so popular kids are crazy about it. I've been nagged for quite some time by my kids to make Domokun keychain and handphone charm but I kept on ignoring them. Why? Because I don't know what it is... a monster or what? Why kids love it I can't fathom. I'm still from the old school...I love Disney characters better.

Anyway, you have to go with the flow. A new found friend, Moli requested me to make Domokun keychain and handphone charm for her. That's when I sit down and tried to make them (much to the delight of my kids). Of course my kids now have a pair of keychain and handphone charm each (the prototypes that I'm not satisfied of).

Finally, the Domokuns that I made. Howzat? Grrrrrrrr.....

Say it With Patchwork & Buttons

I made this keychain with guys in mind. No, not because I have many boyfriends, naughty you! It's because I imagine what kind of keychain would we give to the men in our lives. Takkan nak bagi keychain yang very feminine, yang orang sekali pandang pun tau keychain ladies punya. Mesti guys pun malu nak that kind of keychain kan? So, I came up with this keychain. A bit big in size (3.5" wide), black and to make it look more masculine, I use PVC.

At the back, I use foam to make the letters "LOVE".
